Minute To Win it is back! GSN has agreed to terms to bring back the one-hour game show. The popular TV cable network has given a 40-episode order for Minute to Win It, with production beginning in March for a late 2013 launch and this is your chance to audition to be a contestant on the show. Minute to Win It aired on NBC from March 2010 to September 2011 and was hosted by Guy Fieri. To replace Guy, GSN has hired seven-time Olympic medalist speed skater Apolo Anton Ohno to host the new episodes of the show. In each episode, competitors, using everyday items, face 10 challenges that rise in difficulty. Each game has a one-minute time limit. At various points throughout the game, the competitor can walk away with the money earned up to that point – but it’ll take nerves of steel to complete all 10 tasks to win $1 million. The competitors, who come from all walks of life, are shown over 60 games prior to the competition and are encouraged to practice these one-of-a-kind challenges at home.
Each show offers new twists: from celebrity contestants, to summer-themed games, challenges using office supplies, as well as teams of twins and couples. Some of the past challenges include stacking 7 ding dongs on your forehead or stacking 5 empty cans on a plastic plate floating in a large bowl of water. The 40 episodes of Minute To Win It are set to start taping at the start of summer with a mid summer 2013 premier date. The show will join popular game show such as American Bible Challenge hosted by Jeff Foxworthy and GSN’s new show The Chase.
