While ABC was showing the debut episode of “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” FOX was busy announcing that they will air and produce their own Marvel spin off series Gotham. The new TV series which is written by Bruno Heller who brought us The Mentalist and produced by Warner Brothers Television, will be a one-hour crime drama set before the days of Batman and will follow “the origin stories of Commissioner James Gordon and the villains that made Gotham famous,” according to a description of the series put out by FOX. The casting directors at the popular TV network have not announced the cast of the show but they are now holding auditions for several stand in and extra roles in Gotham. This is a great opportunity for any aspiring actors that are looking for their big break. Do not miss out apply now!
The series will take place when a once-youthful Gordon served as a detective on the Gotham City Police Force. Given the many eccentric foes The Dark Knight has had to battle over the years, including The Joker, The Riddler and Two-Face, the show’s creative team shouldn’t have a problem in the villains department.
There is currently no word on casting on Gotham however, we know one thing. Whoever ultimately takes the role of the busy Gotham Detective will certainly have big shoes to fill. The casting directors at FOX have also said that they are taking applications for several extra, stand in and feature roles for the TV series. If you are interested in being a part of the series where Batman got started fighting crime than this is your chance.
