Eddie Murphy will be back as Detroit detective Axel Foley in his new feature film Beverly Hills Cop 4. The first three installments of Beverly Hills Cop grossed $712.9 million and Paramount has announced that they will be shooting the new installment at the end of 2013. With the last Beverly Hills Cop movie coming out in 1994 Paramount tired to launch a new Television series but it did not make it passed the pilot stage. The casting directors have announced that they will be holding castings and auditions for male and female actors for several extra and supporting roles in Beverly Hills Cop 4. The film series star Eddie Murphy as Axel Foley, a street-smart Detroit cop who travels to Beverly Hills, California to investigate crimes, even though it is out of his jurisdiction. While in Los Angeles, he meets Detective Billy Rosewood (Judge Reinhold), Sergeant John Taggart (John Ashton) and Lieutenant Andrew Bogomil (Ronny Cox) and joins them in to fight crime in the city of Angels.
Josh Appelbaum and Andre Nemec who worked on Mission: Impossible- Ghost Protocol and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles remake have been hired to write the script for Beverly Hills Cop 4. While it’s still early, the studio is reportedly looking to move fast on the project and they are now holding castings and auditions for actors of all ages for several extra and supporting roles for the new film.
